Description
Education and Qualification is a peer-reviewed academic journal in the field of education theory, research, and practice. It is run bythe Department for Continuing Education and Qualification of Educators at St Cyril and St Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo. The journal began as an annual publication with its first issue in 2019. The Education and Qualification journal publishes special issues that are drawn from papers presented at conferences, competitions and other significant events.The journal is particularly committed to publishing scientific articles in the field ofeducation sciences, education and schooling, psychology and social sciences, and educational practice. Education and Qualification provides a forum for discussion ofideas and perspectives on a wide range of topics, and features the following sections: Educational policies, Pedagogical innovations, Teaching methodology, Teaching practice, Heritage education, Bulgarian education abroad, Education and continuing professional development (CPD) projects, Doctoral research, Art education, Reviews, New books and coursebooks, etc.
The international editorial board accepts all submitted manuscripts on the condition that the materials areoriginal articleswhich have not previously been published and are not being considered for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts are reviewed by independent and anonymous reviewers, experts in the respective fields.All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process according to a set of rigorous standards. The members of the review panel accept for publication articles of excellent quality which provide original and thorough examinations of traditional and contemporary educational theories, empirically-grounded innovative ideas, experimental findings, effective educational models and practices implemented by the authors.
Aims and scope
The Education and Qualification journal is intended for a diverse readership, including academic researchers and educators (teachers, head teachers, deputy head teachers, school counselors, school psychologists, speech therapists, managers of educational centres, coaches, etc.), doctoral students, student teachers, parents. It brings together the efforts of all those involved in the creation of a modern and progressive educational policy.
The Journalpublishesarticles on currentdevelopmentsin pedagogical knowledge, CPD and lifelong learning policy, including:
Education and research in education;
Education and training β in a wide range of thematic areas: theory of education and didactics, educational management, history of education, comparative education, social education, pre-school education, primary education, higher education, adult education, sports education, heritage education, artseducation, etc.);
Special education (special education, speech therapy, inclusive education, etc.);
National policy for qualification and continuing professional development of educators.
The Education and Qualification journal aims at promoting the implementation of an informed and scholarly approach to institutional practices in the system of pre-school and school education β kindergartens, schools, personal development support centres and specialized service units. The Journal is committed to seeking and creating effective lifelong learning and teaching technologies.
There is an article processing fee of 52.00 BGN on each manuscript that has been accepted for publication. (The fee has been regulated by the Tariff of fees of the Department for Continuing Education and Qualification of Educators / approved by a decision of the Academic Council of St Cyril and St Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo, 20.01.2020).
