Description

Limnology refers to a branch of ecology or environmental science. It covers the biological, chemical, physical, geological, and other attributes of all inland waters. Oceanography is the science of oceans and seas that includes different prominent aspects such as marine environmental management, coastal zone management, fishery economics and marine pollution. Similar to oceanography, limnology is a highly integrative science where physics, chemistry and biology interact and are therefore necessary to acquire a clear understanding of the effective of these ecosystems.
