Description

Investigational Medicinal Chemistry and pharmacology is open access, peer-reviewed journal that considers articles on all aspects of chemistry and biological activity of natural and synthetic products. The journal welcomes submissions from all fields of medicinal chemistry including chemistry of natural products, analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, and clinical chemistry. It also considers manuscripts in all aspects of experimental and clinical pharmacology including clinical trials.
Invest. Med. Chem. Phamcol. is rapid publication support intending to publish scientific and high-standard papers not more than 60 days upon submission. All accepted papers are available online immediately upon acceptance and the Proof is sent to authors less than 24 hours later.
Some specific areas that are appropriate include the following:
Design, synthesis, hemi synthesis, structural elucidation, and biological evaluation of chemicals as well as molecular modifications that lead to a significantly improved understanding of the structure-activity relationships (SAR).
Basic pharmacological research on all types of biologicals, botanicals, chemicals, phytochemicals, with the aim of investigating molecular recognition processes in the action of biologically active products.
Molecular biological studies of macromolecular targets that lead to an improved understanding of molecular recognition.
Innovative studies on efficacy, safety, quality, and mechanisms of action of specified plant extracts, marine products, phytopharmaceuticals and their isolated constituents. This includes clinical, pharmacological, pharmacokinetic, and toxicological studies of specified herbal medicinal products, herbal preparations, and purified compounds with a defined and consistent quality-assuring reproducible pharmacological activity.
Clinical pharmacology and toxicology (randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind, and observational open-label studies)
Covered animals and human studies: Age-associated disorders; cancer; cardiovascular and urogenital diseases; Immunopharmacology and inflammation; infectious diseases; gastrointestinal, metabolic syndrome, and obesity; parasitic infections
