Description

Journal of Language and Discourse Practice (LDPJ), published by KARE Publishing Co. in Turkey, is an open access and double-blind peer-reviewed international journal in applied linguistics with a focus on language and discourse. The LDPJ appears quarterly to address outstanding research at the boundaries of language and discourse in society. The journal is to contribute to the development of the field, reflect the breadth of work in language and discourse, and enable readers to share in the exciting new developments that are taking place at the present time. It focuses on explicit theory extension and implementation and analysis of the relationships between the structures of text (written or spoken), language use, verbal interaction or communication, social, political or cultural micro- and macrostructures and cognitive social representations. The LDPJ publishes reports of original empirical studies, theoretical articles, methodological articles, and case studies in the English language. The journal strives to bring together researchers to share their experiences with peers. Promotion of knowledge in the field and free access to knowledge are major concerns of the LDPJ. The Journal of Language and Discourse Practice is an affiliate to the Eurasian Applied Linguistics Society (Eurasian ALS).
The LDPJ is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purposes, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
