Description

Scope of the Journal: IP International Journal of Medical Microbiology and Tropical Diseases (IJMMTD) formerly known as "International Journal of Medical Microbiology and Tropical Diseases" will cover basic, clinical and advanced studies related to medical microbiology including bacteriology, mycobacteriology, mycology, virology, parasitology and medical entomology. Not only the scope is limited to infectious diseases but it also includes non-communicable diseases commonly occurring in tropics.
IJMMTD publishes editorial, original and review manuscripts, case reports, brief communications, letter to the editors and conference proceedings related to basic medical microbiology, infectious and tropical diseases.
Editorial-Peer Review Process: All manuscripts received for publications in IJMMTD are duly acknowledged to the corresponding authors. A manuscript will be considered for evaluation with the understanding that it is being submitted to IJMMTD alone at the point in time and has not been simultaneously submitted or published anywhere or already accepted for publication elsewhere. The content of the manuscript must be original and all the passages from published works are duly attributed. A corresponding author will correspond with the journal for all matters related to the manuscript.
All manuscripts are initially evaluated for suitability by the editors. Manuscripts that are outside the scope of the journal, too preliminary, lack of novelty, or evidence of plagiarism are rejected. Suitable manuscripts are blind peer reviewed by at least two reviewers who are vast experience in the field. The comments from the reviewers and editors are conveyed to the corresponding author. The author is required to respond to the comments and submit a revised version of the manuscript. This process is repeated till reviewers and editors are satisfied. The final decision regarding publication of manuscript will be taken by the editors. Manuscripts accepted for publications are copy edited. The corresponding author is expected to return the corrected proofs within three days.
Editorial Policy: Authors should prepare their manuscripts in accordance to journal's authors' guidelines. Manuscripts which do not follow the format and style of the journal may either be returned to authors for correction or rejected. No correspondence will be entertained regarding this matter. The journal reserves the right to make any further formal changes and grammatical corrections necessary in a manuscript accepted for publication so to meet the requirements of the journal.
