Description

Journal of Environmental and Toxicological Studies (JETS) recognizes that to properly study and manage the well-being of the ecosystems we need to understand the science behind it. That implies learning the present and potential impact of not only chemical but also physical and biological toxicants in the environment and their assessment. Moreover, JETS wishes to contribute to bridging the gap between scientific research and the application of sound science in the management of the environment.
Aims and Scope
The journal will focus on studies that involve the development and validation of novel tools and methodologies that assist in the toxicological evaluation of new and existing chemical substances and assist in their safety assessment. The editors encourage the dissemination of unique solutions to challenging scientific questions. JETS is dedicated to publishing material of research and field monitoring, such as reports on the assessment of cumulative effects on watersheds and ecosystem services. Such papers will be interesting to an international audience of professionals in academia, businesses, and government. Most likely, readers of our journal will be engaged in the management, use, and protection of the environment for the enhancement of the ecological health and human welfare.
Fields covered and integrated by JETS include Environmental Toxicology; Ecology; Physiology; Biochemistry; Environmental, Analytical, and Molecular Chemistry; Microbiology; Environmental Engineering; Genetics; Genomics; Earth Sciences; Chemical, Environmental, and Biological Modeling and Epidemiology. Also, the focus includes biochemical, physiological, and behavioral responses of organisms to toxicants; genetic disorders and changes to environmental perturbations, including the evolution of toxicant responses; and interactions between natural and toxicant-induced environmental changes.
The journal pursues contributions that prioritize distinction, originality, reduction to practice, accuracy, focus, and appeal to the readership. Most likely Toxicologists, from environmental or analytical fields in the broadest sense, will engage as authors of JETS articles.
