European Journal of Alternative Education Studies is an international peer reviewed journal that covers the topics that derive from the alternative area of teaching and learning, exploring pedagogical approaches that differ from the mainstream pedagogy. Relevant topics on the area of alternative education could be:
- independent school and education, home based learning, alternative schools and universities;
- comparative analysis between conventional and non- pedagogical approaches;
- education policy and legal framework, human rights and democratic education;
- homeschooling vs. public and private school system, autodidacticism, unschooling;
- experiential education, progressive education, active learning, outdoor and environmental education;
- operational alternative systems of education: Montesori, Sudbury, Waldorf, Summerhill, Sands Schools;
- national and international strategies, framework and organization.
Research papers accepted: articles, communications, intervention studies, study cases, book reviews, commentaries, short reports, etc.
European Journal of Special Education Research is published quarterly on-line in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian. Printed copies of the journal are available on request. The research papers can be submitted on line at education-AT-oapub.org specifying the preferred journal.
