Description

Morisena is an independent historical periodical.
Its main purpose is to recover and promote the history of the local communities of Banat – a historical province located in the south-eastern extremity of the Mitteleuropa territorial entity. After the First World War, Banat was divided between Romania, Serbia and Hungary). The publication borrowed the ancient name of Cenad Village, Timiș County, Romania.
The editorial board, consisting of specialists in various fields, covers not only the region of Banat, but also other areas of Romania. The editors and authors' professional experience allows them to approach a large variety of historical subjects.
This quarterly periodical has been published since 2016, with the constant financial support of the Mayor's Office and the Local Council of Cenad.
The printed version (250 copies) is distributed for free to its contributors (Romania, Serbia, Hungary, Germany, Austria), county and town libraries, the museums of Banat and the libraries of the universities of Timișoara, Arad, Cluj-Napoca, București, Craiova, Iași etc.
The digital format is promoted for free on a number of sites from Romania and abroad and on various social networks.
