Description
The development of the concept of sustainability is a consequence of today's profound attention to environmental damage as well as the emergence of socio-economic and cultural problems caused by industrial growth. The concept of sustainable development can be seen as an important change in our understanding of human relation to nature and self. Sustainable development, sustainable design, sustainable architecture, and concepts such as their earliest concepts, protect the environment by changing the approach to nature, but what is nowadays manifested in the man-made environment is the concept of sustainability. It is a discrete approach to nature that focuses only on preserving it for future generations. Although the principles of sustainable architecture cover a wide range of basic approaches to the most sophisticated technologies of the day, the question of the appropriateness of the method and its conformity with the social and cultural contexts of the general user has always been a key indicator in this area because of the importance of cities in the development of today's society. The world and their access to various technological and communication infrastructures goes far beyond the environmental debate and encompasses various aspects such as economic, social and cultural sustainability. The subject of sustainable architecture and urbanism is one of the most important issues in the field of urban planning and architecture that has attracted the attention of a large number of urban development scholars and architectural designers. In our country, despite recent activities, there is a lack of scientific and research experience that explains the concepts and topics of this field. Therefore, the Quarterly of Architecture seeks to contribute to the development of this field in the country by gathering the opinions of intellectuals, academics, managers of relevant organizations of consulting engineers, professionals and enthusiasts of architecture and urban planning.
