Pakistan Journal of Distance & Online Learning (PJDOL) is a peer-reviewed journal of the Allama Iqbal Open University. Its mission is to promote and disseminate research about distance education and online learning. It is published biannually in printed (ISSN: 2415-2013 (Print), online (ISSN: 2415-2021 (Online) and digital versions. It has four issues published in online and print forms, and one issue (December, 2016) in digital format. This journal provides immediate open access to its content based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Scope of Journal: The journal publishes original papers, review papers, case studies, conceptual framework, empirical research and scholarly material in the fields of open, distance and flexible education. PJDOL explores topics about all teaching-learning relationships where the learners are geographically separated, and communication takes place through radio and television, internet, teleconferences and recordings, printed study guides, and multimedia systems such as audio and video broadcasts, teleconferences and internet. The journal covers all aspects of distance education, non-formal education, adult education, online learning, e-learning, distributed learning, asynchronous learning, and blended learning.
