The International Journal of Genetics & Cancer which is the official publication of the 'Society of Cancer Research - Young Scientist Society'.The mission of the Cancer society is to prevent and cure cancer through research, education, communication and collaboration. Through its programs and services, the SCR fosters research and related bio medical science; accelerates the dissemination of new research findings among young scientists, Doctors and others dedicated to the conquest of cancer; promotes science education and training; and advances the understanding of cancer causes, prevention, diagnosis and treatment throughout the world.
The aim of International Journal of Genetics & Cancer is to publish high quality scientific papers on the cellular, genetic and molecular aspects of cancer, including cancer predisposition and clinical diagnostic applications. Specific areas of interest include descriptions of new chromosomal, molecular or epigenetic alterations in benign and malignant diseases: novel laboratory approaches for identification and characterization of chromosomal rearrangements or genomic alterations in cancer cells: correlation of genetic changes with pathology and clinical presentation: and the molecular genetics of cancer predisposition. To reach a basic science and clinical multidisciplinary audience, we welcome original full-length articles, reviews, meeting summaries, brief reports, and letters to the editor. The main criteria for acceptance of the articles are novelty, clarity, and significance as relevant to a better understanding of the biological Sciences. All the articles published in JGAC are peer-reviewed by eminent international experts in their respective fields.
