Description
The Journal of Humanitarian Engineering (JHE) publishes outcomes of research and field experiences at the intersection of technology and community development. The field of ‘humanitarian engineering’ describes the application of engineering and technology for the benefit of disadvantaged communities. This field spans thematic areas from water to energy to infrastructure; and applications from disability access to poverty alleviation. The JHE aims to highlight the importance of humanitarian engineering projects and to inspire engineering solutions to solve the world’s most pertinent challenges.The journal is seeking articles relating to humanitarian engineering and community development for publication. Engineering is at its best when ground-breaking discoveries become tomorrow's best practice; with this in mind, the Journal of Humanitarian Engineering strives to publish and disseminate the discoveries of researchers in humanitarian engineering so that they may be implemented for real change.
The Journal of Humanitarian Engineering accepts submissions of no longer than 3000 words or 6 to 8 pages in length (whichever is the greater), not including any abstracts or the reference section.
