Description

Computer vision and pattern recognition, the art of processing images stores into computer has seen a considerable amount of research by highly qualified engineers, researchers, scholars and practitioners, and the volume of research would even to have increased in the twenty-first century. This means that a lot of new techniques have been developed, and many of the more recent research approaches have yet to migrate into the journals. Computer vision and pattern recognition can be viewed as two facets of the same field and together they have undergone substantial development with the development of the today information technology. These two domains are playing and will play a substantial role in the year to come in the lifestyle of mankind including his security.
For example cameras inspect mechanical part to check size, food is inspected for quality, and image used in astronomy benefit from computer vision techniques, forensic studies and biometrics using computer vision including automatic face recognition and recognizing people by the texture of their irises, analyze fingerprints to find suspect, finding building in a satellite, analyze medical test results in decision making for any illness, and many others. These techniques mentioned above would not have been possible without articles or research reports published in the journal which is one of the best ways for researchers, practitioners and scholars connection for Technology innovation. The aim of the JCVPR is to make that connection.
The Journal of Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (JCVPR) is a peer-reviewed International Journal that publishes (1) original articles that have been appropriately reviewed, (2) technical reports covering specific areas of interest in the field.
JCVPR invites academic researchers, engineers and Information Technology professionals to share their ideas and their research methods by submitting their original research articles, improved existing methods, or revised theory for publication. Special issues is published from time to time on some topics of interest to computervision and pattern recognition and made it available to authors. Articles can be submitted for regular issues or for special issues based on author’s requirement.
