The Rascunhos Culturais journal is a project of the curso de Letras da
Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul on the Coxim campus which
aims at the dissemination of critical studies in
the humanities based on a philosophy that the ostensibly rigid
boundaries once thought to have separated the humanities or even any
of the sciences are just that. Rascunhos Culturais seeks to
promote a dialogue concerning different cultural facets of
anthropogenic constructs. With articles whose topics cover various
areas of the Humanities Cultural Drafts proposes to disclose a
series of texts to put into circulation cultures, thoughts, and
reflections about the idiosyncrasies of humanity, demonstrating how
such elements diverge is a look at the other. It is intended,
therefore, to serve as a forum whose multiplicity of views reflects
the various ways of thinking about culture and cultural property but,
in the words of Gilles Deleuze, in his "The Fold", different
elements can gather the same cosmos, creating a world of endless
folds. The first issue of the magazine was published in May 2010 with
a circulation printed and available in electronic format.
It is published biannually.
