Description

Enlightening Tourism: A Pathmarking Journal
http://www.uhu.es/publicaciones/ojs/index.php/et
ET is an international, multi-disciplinary, refereed (peer-reviewed)
and online journal aiming to promote and enhance research in all
fields of tourism.
ET is intended for readers in the scholarly community who deal with
different tourism sectors, both at macro and at micro level, as well
as for professionals in the industry.
ET provides a platform for debate and dissemination of research
findings, new research areas and techniques, conceptual developments,
and articles with practical application to any tourism segment.
The journal welcomes all kind of research papers, including case
studies (for teaching purposes, about good practices, etc.), together
with book reviews.
In general terms, ET aims at:
-Disseminating and promoting research, good practice and innovation in
all aspects of tourism to its prime audience, including educators,
researchers, post-graduate students, policy makers,
and industry practitioners.
-Encouraging international scientific cooperation and understanding,
and enhancing multi-disciplinary research across all tourism sectors.
More specific aims (or themes of special interest to be addressed) are
the following:
-As a result of the cooperation between the University of Huelva
(Spain) and the National Chiayi University (Taiwan), the journal is
specially conceived as a cross-cultural endeavour for building
an academic bridge between Europe and Asia. Therefore, papers on
tourism in both continents are especially welcomed.
-The journal will become a reference in the use of the light as a
concept in tourism management, in the broadest sense. More
specifically, research that has the potential to inspire and enlighten
responsible decision-making, policy-making, stakeholder engagement,
and social and environmental business practices in the field of
tourism will be particularly welcomed.
-Applied researches on small-and-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are
also of particular interest.
The scope of the journal is international and all papers submitted are
subject to strict double blind peer review by anonymous international
reviewers. The journal features conceptual and
empirical papers, and editorial policy is to invite the submission of
manuscripts from academics, researchers, post-graduate students,
policy-makers and industry practitioners. The Editorial
Boards will be looking particularly for articles about new trends and
developments within different sectors of tourism, and the application
of new ideas and developments that are likely to affect
tourism, travel, hospitality and leisure in the future. ET also
welcomes submission of manuscripts in areas that may not be directly
tourism-related but cover a topic that is of interest to
researchers, educators, policy-makers and practitioners in various
fields of tourism.
