The International Journal of Online Pedagogy and Course Design (IJOPCD) serves as a forum for the improvement of online education for schools and teachers planning to implement, or currently engaged in, e-learning. Focusing on online schooling and curriculum preparation, this journal provides effective Web-based teaching methods for teachers and educators. IJOPCD presents critical viewpoints for academic professionals in the development of online learning.Mission
The mission of the International Journal of Online Pedagogy and Course Design (IJOPCD) is to provide a platform for the latest research, analysis, and development of online education, effective online teaching methods, and course design. IJOPCD covers the pedagogical design aspects of science education and computing education, as well as courses supported by educational technologies. Targeting academic researchers and educators who work in the field, this journal focuses on the importance of developments in online course design and teaching methods to improve teachers’ teaching and students’ learning. Researchers are encouraged to submit cross-disciplinary, high-quality syntheses that are interesting, beneficial, and apprehensible to all those interested in or teaching science and related disciplines.
Editor(s)-in-Chief Biography
Chia-Wen Tsai (jawen12b-AT-gmail.com) is an assistant professor in the Department of Information Management, Ming Chuan University (Taiwan). Dr. Tsai is also an associate editor of the International Journal of Information Communication Technologies and Human Development and the International Journal of Innovation in the Digital Economy. He is interested in e-learning, knowledge management, electronic commerce, and service management. He has published his research in refereed journals such as Computers in Human Behavior, the International Journal of Technology and Human Interaction, Educational Technology and Society, the International Journal of Distance Education Technologies, and the International Journal of Information and Communications Technology Education.
Pei-Di Shen (pdshen-AT-mcu.edu.tw) currently works as Director of the Teacher Education Center and as a professor in the Graduate School of Education, Ming Chuan University (Taipei, Taiwan). Dr. Shen’s primary interest areas are e-learning, knowledge management, virtual community, and management information systems. Her research focus is in the distance education in higher education. She has published several articles in refereed journals, such as the Interactive Learning Environments, the International Journal of Information and Communications Technology Education, CyberPsychology & Behavior, the International Journal of Mobile and Blended Learning, and Lecture Notes in Computer Science.
