Description

The Ankara Medical Journal is a peer-reviewed, open access, current periodical journal belonging to the Department of Family Medicine of Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Faculty of Medicine. Our journal is published four times annually and is listed in BASE, EBSCOHost, Google Scholar, SHERPA/RoMEO, TUBITAK Turkish Medical Index, Turkish Citation Index, Turkish Medline, J-Gate, Journal Index, Journal TOCs, Cite Factor, HINARI, DOAJ, ROAD, UlrichsWeb Global Serials Directory, DRJI and other databases. Being a peer-reviewed journal, the manuscripts sent will be evaluated by consultants and should be appropriate for the current version of common rules (icmje_08.pdf) indicated for biomedical manuscripts as defined by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
Although the official language of the journal is English and Turkish, we are currently planning to publish articles written preferably in English language in 2016. Therefore, your manuscripts written in fluent English will be our first priority.
Ankara Medical Journal is dedicated to publishing mainly invited review articles, case reports, a topic with figures, letters to the editor, news and developments from the medical world and basic clinical research articles about family medicine, general medicine, medical education, health politics, community health and primary care. Articles will not be accepted for evaluation if they have been published or if they are considered for publication elsewhere and if they are not prepared according to the publication rules.
