The founder of the journal is O.M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv. It publishes articles that have scientific novelty and represent the results of the research problem of scientific and practical nature.
The journal "Lighting Engineering and Power Engeneering" is in a list of professional publications of Ukraine according to the Decree of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine 26.05.2010 № 1-05 / 4.
