Description
The journal will focus on the various aspects of nanomaterials and their applications in the area of energy. The multidisciplinary nature of this journal will enable scientists and engineers from backgrounds such as metallurgy; materials science; chemical, mechanical, electrical, aerospace engineering; chemistry; physics; mathematics andcomputer science to contribute and help build a sustainable future.
The topics will include but are not limited to the following:
? Nanomaterials, their growth, growth mechanisms, structure-property-composition relationships, structure-property-processing relationships. This includes detailed characterization approaches.
? Energy materials at the nanoscale such as carbon-based, oxides, nitrides, intermetallics, pure metals, non-stoichiometric materials, etc. Ideas on new energy materials are also welcomed.
? Organization of nanomaterials in electronic, optical, magnetic, or mechanical devices
? Bottom-up, top-down, and directed-assembly methods for the organization of nanostructures.
? Fabrication of arrays of functional nanomaterials with predetermined registry.
? Energy applications of nanomaterials including photovoltaics/solar cells, batteries, photocatalysts, solar fuel generation, materials for efficient energy conversion, storage and transport, thermoelectrics, and bio-fuel cells.
? Fundamental phenomena behind energy applications of the nanomaterials.
