Description

Jàmbá (meaning disaster in Yoruba) is a trans-disciplinary publication in the field of Disaster Risk Reduction, aimed at serving as a platform for discussion and debate in this relatively new study field. The journal publishes research papers, opinion pieces, practitioner papers and book reviews. The intended focus of Jàmbá is on the African continent but also welcomes related articles from other regions. The journal is published in association with the South African National Disaster Management Centre and the African Centre for Disaster Studies.
