Engineering Geology (ISSN: 1993-5056)

Description

«Engineering geology» magazine was created in 1979 by the academician E.M. Sergeev. However, it stopped existing in its original form in 1993. In 2003, with assistance of the Moscow State University, the magazine “Engineering Geology” was created again. V.T. Trofimov, the vice-rector of Moscow State University and the head of department of engineering and ecological geology, was deputy chief editor until 1993, now had joined the “Engineering Geology” editorial team. Among the authors of the re-created magazine were the world's famous scientists, such as V.T. Trofimov, N.S. Kasimov, G.K. Bondarik, V.N. Konishchev, et cetera.
In 2010 the magazine has been included into the list of Russian leading peer-reviewed publications (Higher Attestation Commission; abbreviated Cyrillic “VAK”), and that testifies its importance for the industry.
