Information for Authors The Journal of Mechanical Systems for Transportation and Logistics (referred to as “JMTL” below) is an electronic journal edited and managed by the Transportation and Logistics Division of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME), and issued by JSME for the global dissemination of academic and technological information on mechanical engineering and industries.

1. Paper for submission
Papers for submission to JMTL should be original papers of the authors and unpublished in general publicly disseminated (distributed or sold) publications.
The view and explanation thesis (Review Paper): The edit committee publishes a recent research trend and the explanation thesis of each specialized field through the writing request doing and the proofreading.

2. Qualifications of contributors
Not only members of JSME but also non-members may submit papers.
3. Copyright
Copyright on papers published in JMTL belongs to JSME.
4. Specified number of pages
The number of pages for one paper shall be as follows:
Unless especially allowed by the Editorial Board, papers exceeding 16 pages are not allowed.
Original Paper: Using the template Within 16 pages
Review Paper: Using the template Within 16 pages
Technical Note: Using the template Within 8 pages
5. Preparation and submission of papers
Manuscripts for submission should be prepared using the specified template and submitted through the Online Submission system at http://www.i-product.biz/jsme/eng/
6. Language
The language of the papers for submission should be English.
7. Units
All manuscripts must use SI units.
8. Acceptance
The acceptance or rejection of the submitted paper is decided by the Editorial Board.
9. Responsibility for content
The authors are fully responsible for the content of papers.
10. Date of receipt
The date of receipt of a submitted paper is the date when the manuscript arrives at the office of JSME. However, when the manuscript sent back to the author(s) for revisions is not re-submitted with the revisions within two months after the inquiry date, the original date of receipt becomes invalid.
11. Priority
Priority of the paper takes effect on the date of receipt of the manuscript and is clearly stated in JMTL.
12. Date of publication
The paper shall be published on a timely basis after being admitted for publication. The publication date shall be indicated in JMTL.
13. Paper charges
Authors must pay paper charge for papers published in JMTL. The amount is determined by JSME (See " Specialized English Journals Publishing Fees" at http://www.i-product.biz/jsme/eng/data/fee.html).
