Pilar. Časopis za društvene i humanističke studije serves as a forum for the interdisciplinary analysis of the narrative "pilarovskih tema," the theme of identity, modernization and Europeanization, from the perspective of relevant scientific disciplines.
Bearing in mind the interdisciplinary nature of the scientific effort as "općeljudskog," the journal has its regular international editions composed by the editorial committee. Pilar was first published in November of 2006.
