Journal ?Legea ?i via?a? was registered on August, 1990 year.
The founders of the journal are the Ministry of Justice, General Prosecutor's Office, Supreme Court of Justice, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arbitration Court of the Republic of Moldova. Arsene Leontie was appointed as the Chief Editor.
In 1993, the journal was reregistered as a government enterprise. The founder was the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova.
In 1995, Higher Attestation Commission of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Moldova recognized the journal as a scientific publication.
In 2009, the journal was accredited by the Supreme Council for Science and Technological Development of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Moldova (Decision № 61 on 30.04.09). In 2013 it was reregistered (Decision № 146 on 27.06.13).
In 2013 in view of heightened interest of Ukrainian authors in the journal, Ukrainian representative office of the publication was opened in Odesa.
