Description

The first issue of the journal called DANUBE was launched in 1923 in Vienna but its publication was forcibly suspended during the Second World War. The re-published DANUBE: Law and Economics Review is a peer-reviewed regional journal that continues the tradition of the original periodical. The journal is published by the De Gruyter (Germany, USA) with the support of the European Association Comenius - EACO. The Association seeks to re-establish the academic and scientific ties among the countries of the former Danubian Monarchy that were destroyed during the War. The region includes especially the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria and Slovenia. Regarding their common history, the abovementioned countries share similar legal and economic structures. The primary focus of the DANUBE journal, in terms of its content, is thus on scientific articles from the fields of law and economics, by authors who come from the core countries of the former Danubian Monarchy, or other European countries that share similar legal and cultural traditions. The journal also welcomes all the authors that can contribute to fulfilling the aims and scope of the journal. The DANUBE publishes wider articles as well as shorter discussions or book reviews. Further information on manuscripts submission can be found in the section designed for Authors.
The DANUBE: Law and Economics Review is covered by SCOPUS, Proquest, EBSCO, EconLit, RePEc and other services. For the full list, see the Abstracting & Indexing section.
Publication Ethics & Publication Malpractice Statement

Ethical behaviour, that conforms the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors and other Guidelines approved by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), is expected from all parties involved in the act of publishing (the authors, the editors, the peer reviewers).
