The International Journal of Ecodynamics is based on the need to relate ecosystems to evolutionary thermodynamics in order to arrive at satisfactory solutions for sustainable development. This is the most important challenge facing modern society and the Journal aims to act as a forum for the publication of papers that can contribute to understanding the ecosystems and their reactions by the use of evolutionary approaches. The editors believe that the time is right for making Ecology a theoretical discipline like Physics.
The Journal will cover all aspects of ecosystems and sustainable development, ranging from physical sciences to economics and epistemology. It will also open up new avenues for understanding the relationship between arts and sciences.
The objective of the Journal is to encourage and facilitate the interdisciplinary communication between scientists, engineers, economists, and other professionals working on ecological systems. Emphasis will be given to these areas that will benefit most from the applications of scientific methods, ideally evolutionary physics for sustainable development.
