Description

The objective of IJCPS is scientific cross-fertilisation between disciplines such as cognitive science, healthcare, education, ergonomics, system design and task performance analysis. The theories on human-machine interaction, task performance and mental functioning need systematic research in order to improve productivity. Phenomena such as RSI, losing navigational control and conflicting task performance are often symptoms of a deeper discrepancy between the human actor and the demands from the environment. These burdens are enhanced when the actor is influenced by special physical and/or cognitive challenges. To meet this wide range of demands placed on the successful deployment of computer based technology, special consideration must be placed on usability issues. It is the goal of IJCPS to provide such a forum for researchers to present their findings on the full spectrum of machine based usability issues.
