Description

The journal ICONO 14 is an online scientific publication edited and financed by the Scientific Association Icono 14.
The Journal ICONO 14 offers a space to disseminate quality scientific works concerning basic or applied, experimental, epistemological and descriptive research on communication, its corresponding fields, and particularly Information and Communication Technologies from a communicative perspective.
We are seeking to learn about how the incorporation of emerging technologies affects different aspects of communication.
The Journal ICONO 14 is a biannual thematic publication edited in Spanish and English, with abstracts, key words and web interfaces in English. We focus on communication sciences, therefore accepting interdisciplinary contributions that address subjects concerning communication and emergent technologies.
The Journal is directed at the entire international scientific community, in particular Spanish speakers, although it has been making ongoing efforts to internationalise its scientific consultants, revisers, authors and readers.
During the Journal's 15 year uninterrupted career, it has published 35 issues containing more than 600 research articles.
Icono 14 has been published for free by electronic means since 2003. In addition, it comes in different formats (pdf. html, xml) and retrieval systems (DOI) to facilitate its visibility and retrieval. The Journal is indexed in various databases, directories, and national and international journal assessments (see section "Information on indexing").
