The journal Cadernos de Estudos Africanos is a scientific
and academic publication of the Center of African Studies
(CEA-IUL) University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL) that
specializes in topics related to Africa. Its principal
objective is to publish investigative and theoretical
articles that contribute to the understanding of Africa and
its diaspora(s). The journal is open to any researcher in
the Portuguese or international scholarly communities who
carries out scientific or humanistic study that pertains to
the continent. Cadernos de Estudos Africanos celebrates its
worldwide inter- and multidisciplinary approach and welcomes
manuscripts in four languages (Portuguese, English, Spanish,
and French). Currently directed by Ana Bénard da Costa, the
journal’s Editorial Board is comprised of researchers from
different Portuguese academic institutions, while its
International Scientific Committee includes respected
scholars from the wider scientific community dedicated to
African Studies.
