The Journal of Animal Science and Technology(JAST) is the official journal of Korean Society of Animal Science & Technology(KSAST),
which is the authentic scientific organization in the area of animal sciences in Korea.
The JAST is therefore, the history long journal, with 54 years of tradition in Korea by covering complete spectra of animal sciences.
The JAST is listed as KSCI and has recognized among its kinds by follows.
1. JAST has been the purely scientific journal specialized in animal sciences and animal resources covering breeding,
genetics, reproduction, nutrition and feeding, animal products processing, ethology and behavior, environments and biotechnology in the areas.
2. JAST has been developed with ceaseless renovations in all perspectives that the world-class journal have to go.
KSAST proclaimed year 2010 as the year for the second jump of JAST, thereafter JAST has completely changed
and renovated its printing frames including letters, cover page design, journal name abbreviation with authentic logo and editing policy and system.
3. Submission of articles prepared in English only has now reached near 40% out of total numbers of submission,
therefore JAST publishes two issues(No 3 and No 6) for exclusively English articles as of 2010.
This is one the proactive approaches of JAST to be included in SCI(E) list in near future.
4. Since 2010, JAST serves every subscribers and members with publication alert and PDF file access right after publication.
Every published article are managed by DOI numbers with continuous data base construction.
5.
JAST has published 6 issues a year with average 37% rejection rate among about 120 submitted articles a year.
6. Editorial members of JSAT have been appointed based on their scientific achievements on each specialty but with equal opportunity in every perspectives.
