Description

The WUT Journal of Transportation Engineering (formerly known as Prace Naukowe Politechniki Warszawskiej - Transport) was founded in 1972. It is a peer-reviewed open-access journal that publishes high-quality scholarly research addressing current problems in planning, design, operation, control, management and maintenance of modern transportation and traffic systems and their components. The Journal publishes research articles presenting original contributions to the field, including new models and algorithms, as well as papers providing an introduction and explanation of advanced topics, which are aimed to support using the new methodology by researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. Critical reviews, case studies (only if they contain some original theoretical content), short communications, and scientific letters are also welcomed.
The Journal covers all modes of transport offering a multidisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners, engineers, and policymakers at the international, national, regional and local levels. The WUT Journal of Transportation Engineering covers the following areas of interest:
Intelligent Transportation Systems
Transportation systems and logistics
Transportation safety and security
Traffic control and management
Autonomous vehicles
Mobility and travel behavior
Transportation economics
Human factors in transportation
Transportation planning and policy
Environmental issues in transportation
Topics of particular interest are traffic flow theory and modeling, information technologies in transport, optimizing network and vehicle efficiency, traffic safety analysis, urban logistics, intermodal transport systems, sustainable transport, vehicle-to-vehicle, and vehicle-to-infrastructure communications, autonomous vehicles.
