Revista Reflexiones is published by the Faculty of Social Sciences of
the University of Costa Rica. The vocation of our Faculty translates
into a scientific concern for the problems of the
contemporary world which has always been present in the minds of its members.
In each issue, Revista Reflexiones displays several levels of thought,
information and discussion, encourages the publishing of knowledge of
national and international realities and scientific
development, leading to the formulation of the following objectives:
Conduct a theoretical elaboration, advanced for the sake of
development of social research conducted in our country (as distinct
from research advances).
Provide for novel experiences that enrich and guide the
activities of research, teaching and extension programs.
Keep an update of comments, reviews and comments on books,
articles, research reports and papers published in the last three
months in the national average, in the field of social sciences.
Present the work of students, who by their level of preparation
and originality, deserve to be published.
Establish a debate: comments, criticisms and comments on works
published in previous issues.
