The scientific journal "Neerlandica Wratislaviensia" publishes scientific articles devoted to linguistics and literature in the Netherlands, including, among others: paremiologii (the study of proverbs and refrains as transmitters of experience-based traditional knowledge) phraseology and the Dutch, the history of the former (from the Middle Ages through the Renaissance to the Enlightenment) and contemporary (nineteenth-, twentieth-and twenty-first century) literature and culture established in what is now the Netherlands and Flanders, as well as in the former Dutch colonies: Indonesia, South Africa and Surinamowi. Much attention is devoted to the reception of language, literature and culture of the Dutch in Poland and Central Europe, and comparative studies. Among the authors who publish in this magazine are outstanding Dutch linguist, literary, and academic centers in the Netherlands (Amsterdam, Leiden, Utrecht), Belgium (Antwerp, Brussels, Ghent, Hasselt, Liège, Leuven and Louvain-la-Neuve), Western Europe (Hull, Leipzig, Münster and Oslo), Central Europe (Olomouc, Sofia, Vienna) and Poland (Krakow, Lublin, Poznan, Warsaw).
