Description

Innovare is a biannual journal that under blind peer review, publishes papers on higher education, with special attention to pedagogical work and educational innovation in Latin American universities. This journal, which is sponsored by the University of Concepcion, seeks to be a space for reflection on higher education teaching practices through the promotion of dialogue between different stakeholders: academics, students and managers.
The process of massification of higher education, which has been particularly intense in Latin American universities during the last thirty years, has involved considerable changes in the profile of students entering the classroom. The university educates no longer a homogeneous elite, but different profiles of students with various academic and social needs. This new scenario poses a challenge for professionals in higher education, which must meet the challenge of quality education through the development of effective teaching practices. The transformations of both education and labor market demand new ways of teaching, we seek to collect in this journal.
