The Anuario Colombiano de Historia Social y de la Cultura (ACHSC) is the publication of the Department of History at the National University of Colombia, Bogotá. Throughout its forty-nine years of existence, the Anuario has been recognized by the international and national academic community as the pioneering organ in the publication of historical research in Colombia. The journal, for the greater part of its trajectory, has constituted the principal space for the spreading of studies headed by national and international specialists which has promoted the consolidation of historical research in Colombia.
The principal aim of the journal is to disseminate research on the history of Colombia;however, the journal also accepts comparative articles on Latin America and the world as a historiographic and theoretical analysis.
El Anuario only publishes original and previously unpublished research and consequently does not accept translations, papers, or parts of published works by any means. Each volume appears in two issues per year.
