General Information
Legal Science and Law Enforcement Practice is an international peer reviewed open access journal (ISSN 1998-6963).
The journal is a printed periodical published since 2006 and issued quarterly. It is established by Tyumen Advanced Training Institute of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation. The journal is published with the support of International Association for Justice and International Police Association.
Aims and Scope
LS&LP assumes that every sovereign state implements its own unique law enforcement policy and practice. There are no identical national law enforcement systems, as there are no the samepolitical and legal systems, the same history, culture, traditions, language, etc. Thus, the first goal of the journal is the scientific research of law enforcement practices of different countries, their comparison and harmonization, revealing and adopting the best law enforcement experience in the context of challenges and threats of the XXI century.
The second aim is the formation of the active, open, democratic, humane and efficient law enforcement system of the Russian state: identifying and solving the problems of legislative regulation of law enforcement activities; counteraction to violations of the rights and freedoms of man and citizen; development of law enforcement institutions; improving the activities of law enforcement agencies.
The journal is focused on two categories of readers and authors: subjects of law enforcement activities (scientists, experts, lecturers, students, postgraduate students of law schools) and representatives of civil society.
Mission
LS&LP creates a discussion platform for the authors and readers to substantiate and critically analyze the scientific ideas, the sphere of application of which is law enforcement practice.
