“Science Governance and Scientometrics” is a scientific journal and successor to the traditions of the “Naukovedenie” (1999–2004) and “Science. Innovation. Education” (2006–2019).
Issued 4 times a year, quarterly.
Languages – Russian, English.
The journal introduces the readers to essential issues of S&T policy formation and implementation, scientometrics, R&D in organizations, government support for innovation.
It also publishes research on the legal matters of scientific and innovation activities and covers the results of monitoring the S&T sector development: facilities and resources improvement, research staff reproduction, research infrastructure development.
Scientometrics is addressed both in terms of theory and in the aspect of its practical application as a tool to implement the government S&T policy.
The mission of the journal is to disseminate to the public, including its target audience (researchers, postgraduates, lecturers, students and all those interested in S&T policy development), the results of research in the field of science management and scientometrics at national, regional, institutional and research levels.
Our challenging task is to form a platform for communication of scientists, experts and representatives of organizations involved in and interested in the selection of public policy tools, the forecast of the impact of the tools used and the assessment of the situation in science using scientometric indicators enshrined in the key strategic documents.

The journal is a member of CrossRef partnership and of the Association of Scientific Editors and Publishers (ASEP).
The “Science Governance and Scientometrics” is an open access journal, which means that all its content is freely available without charge to the users in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of the Open Access.
All submissions to the journal are reviewed by peer reviewers (double-blind peer review). Peer review process adheres to the ethical principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
