Geographical Urban Planning Research (GUPR) is a specialized, double-blind peer-reviewed, open access journal that provides rapid reviewing and publication of articles in all areas of urban studies. It has been published by Institute of Geography, Faculty of Geography, University of Tehran, since 2013.
Geographical Urban Planning Research (GUPR) is a multidisciplinary peer reviewed journal that publishes original full‐length research articles in the broad fields of urban research, including urban development, urban participation, spatial analysis, sustainable urban development, urban management and other related areas.
The aim of the journal is to provide a scientific medium for scientists and academicians all over the world to contribute, promote, share, and discuss over various new issues and developments in different areas of urban planning and research. So, GUPR covers: urban sustainable development; gentrification and housing; homelessness and welfare services; urban management; development and planning problems; urban regeneration; neighborhood conservation; migration; urban politics; urban theory; urban governance; smart cities; urban smart growth; urban spatial analysis; infrastructure; livability and quality of life; greening; and all related subjects to urban geography.
GUPR is a quarterly journal, including Persian full-text and English extended abstract & bibliography. It is indexed and abstracted in Electronic Journals database, google scholar, Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), Scientific Information database (SID), Iranian Journals database and Computer Research Center of Islamic Sciences (NoorMags).
