Description

Sustainable Energy, Grids and Networks is an international peer-reviewed publication for theoretical and applied research dealing with energy, information grids and power networks, including smart grids from super to micro grid scales. SEGAN is an interdisciplinary journal that aims to bring together researchers from academia and industry from across Energy, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics and Energy Policy/Regulation.
SEGAN particularly welcomes papers on the following topics:
Theoretical developments in planning and operation of electrical and energy systems
Active distribution networks
Integrated electrical and thermal microgrids
Virtual power plants
Massive integration of volatile renewable energy resources in smart grids
Real-time monitoring technologies of electrical transmission and distribution networks
Integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) into grids and networks for the monitoring and control of electrical and energy systems
System integration of electrical and thermal energy storage
Control and planning of centralized and distributed energy storage and distributed generation in electrical and thermal networks
Modeling of cyber-physical energy and communication systems
Demand-side management: definition of control schemes and protocols
Electrical systems security and reliability with particular reference to the integration of large-scale volatile resources
New dynamics and stability issues in power networks

Control of coupled AC/DC supergrids

SEGAN publishes original articles and short communications, as well as selected review articles by invitation and/or approval of the Editor-in-Chief. Proposals for review articles and special issues should be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief for consideration.
