Bi-Annual Research Journal Published by Sociological Association of Pakistan (SAP)
Sociological Association of Pakistan (SAP) is going to launch its online bi-annual research journal named as Social Sciences Review of Pakistan (SSRP). The objective of the journal is to provide a multidisciplinary forum for discourse on social science research and policy issues. It will also provide a platform to young social scientists to manifest and sharpen their research skills. Articles published in the journals will discuss social issues, review conceptual problems, present empirical reports and debate policy alternatives. We encourage authors to discuss their research experiences and debate whether these experiences feed into an increased understanding of the research realm. We welcome papers in the field of social sciences viz sociology, psychology, political science, anthropology, history, philosophy, economics, public health, population and development studies etc.
Paper Submission and Selection
The SSRP is interested in articles on emergent and challenging issues. All submitted papers will be acknowledged quickly and reviewed as rapidly as possible. The papers initially scrutinized by the Editorial Team that will decide whether they meet certain basic standards with respect to, for example, length, presentation, clarity and level of scholarship. Those papers that pass this initial scrutiny will be referred out to referees who will be carefully selected on the basis of their expertise. Once suitable referees identified and accept the commission, they will normally be asked to reply within a month. We will follow single-blind system for peer-review; the reviewers' identities remain anonymous to authors. The review process may take two months.
Authors may contact the Editorial Team at any time for information on the status of their papers. Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or an academic thesis); it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere; its publication is approved by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out; and, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English or in any other language. The Editor Team reserves the right to edit or otherwise alter all contributions. Manuscripts should be submitted electronically in MS-Word format to:
