RUDN Journal of Russian History is a periodical international peer-reviewed scientific publication in the field of historical research. The Journal covers all spheres of studying the historical process of Russia from antiquity to the present. Particular attention is paid to the history of Russian peoples and regions.

The mission of the Journal is to publish original articles, reviews and surveys on the history of Russian peoples and regions, as well as increasing the level of research and development international scientific cooperation in the framework of this topic.
Aims and Scope. The Journal is aimed at cooperation and scientific exchange in the field of historical knowledge, publication of the results of fundamental and applied researches of Russian and foreign scientists studying the process of objective development of the peoples and particular regions of Russia in the context of modern scientific approaches. The attention is devoted to publication of original articles and reviews about the historical identity of the Russian state, consisting primarily in its ethno-national and ethno-confessional composition, the processes of mutual influence and enrichment of cultures. The journal also publishes materials on history and current state of Russia's relations with the peoples of Europe, Asia, America, Africa as well as its efforts to promote its foreign cultural diplomacy.
Sections policy. Topical sections are formed in accordance with the relevance of a problem and the interest caused in the international scientific community. Varying the topical sections enables reacting promptly to various problems of Russian history that are of concern to researchers and covering personal, often mutually exclusive, viewpoints of distinguished and young scientists from all over the world.
