Description

Chitrolekha International Magazine on Art and Design (ISSN 2231-4822) has been conceived of as an attempt at exploring the world of art and design. This Open Access Project was started after we found lack of scholarly materials especially on the art, crafts and heritage of Bengal and other places of India. The internet and the web have provided us with tools and ways to re-present and document the treasures which otherwise could not so far made much presence in the print world. The new technology also enables us to discuss the contents in wholly new ways on a converged medium where other media contribute towards better understanding.
This is however an independent initiative and its independence allows is to rise above any kind of narrowness in vision. We appeal to all to participate in this creative fiesta.
