Journal “Kimya problemleri” (Chemical Problems) has been published since 2003. The journal's founders are the Academician M. F. Nagiyev Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS), the Georgia - based R.Agladze Institute of Inorganic Chemistry and Electrochemistry, Dr. of Chemistry Aliyev Akif Shikhan and the small enterprise “Turan”. The journal is published four times a year.
The journal has been spread over the United States, Russia, Turkey, Iran, Georgia, Ukraine, etc. German firm Kubon & Sagner is responsible for publishing the journal in abroad.
The journal was registered at the Justice Ministry of the Azerbaijan Republic and included in the list of the High Attestation Commission (HAC) journals.
The journal is registered by the International Periodicals Registration Center, and has the printed version index of ISSN (2221-8688) which provides information of it in appropriate international abstract editions. The journal is indexed and referred to in two global chemical abstract journals: “Chemical Abstracts” (the USA), and VINITI (Russia). It joins the list of journals of the International Nuclear Information System (INIS) which is one of the world's largest databases of published information about peace use of nuclear science and material, Ulrichsweb, as well as the knowledge base SFX, and is placed in different electronic libraries – Cyberleninka, eLibrary.ru.
Journal “Chemical Problems» accepts materials providing results of original research in the form of complete articles, as well as analytical surveys on topical issues of chemical science. The journal publishes works on all directions of chemical science, including organic and inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, metal-organic and coordination chemistry, chemistry of polymers, electrochemistry, material studies, petro-chemistry and oil-refining, crystal-chemistry, nano-chemistry, as well as studies devoted to alternative sources of energy and problems of ecology.
