Objectives / Aims
The Magazine Art and Society. Journal of Research in Digital Arts and Humanities (ASRI) is established as a platform dedicated to the exploration of culture and the arts in their relationship with society and the economy. A space to publicize recent research by experts and professionals in the field.
ASRI addresses questions about the multiple social factors that intervene in the art world: the cultural value of images in the network society; the role of the artist as a social and cultural activator; the social situation of the artist in relation to patronage, the market, collecting, the role of art galleries, foundations and other institutions that promote and support artistic activity. the role of technologies as mediators and builders of new artistic languages. In short, ASRI seeks to reveal the circumstances and changes that socially surround the artistic act and that are currently presented to us as new challenges, and in need of new approaches and adaptations.
