Canal da Imprensa is the electronic journal of media criticism course of Journalism UNASP - University Center of São Paulo, Campus Engineer Coelho.
The magazine is a forum for students of journalism with the supervision of teachers and collaboration of media professionals. Canal da Imprensa is made possible through the coordination of teachers and Luis Fernando Asuncion Tales Tomaz.
The eJournal Canal da Imprensa was conceived by Professor Ruben Darga Holdorf and designed by second year students of Social Communication UNASP in mid-2001. After a year of experimentation, only on August 21, 2002 were its first number the pages of the internet. In 2005, under the leadership of the Centre for Press, Media Monitor and SOS Printing, Channel participated in the creation of the National Observatory of the University Press (Renoi), which is part of the entity.
Its editorial line directs reporters to analyze and criticize the role of the press in their different specializations and areas and search through the newspaper report, discuss the impact of media on society.
Canal da Imprensa believes that the media should be accountable to society for all that it discloses, transmits or publishes, and that, for this reason, the content of this electronic journal serves as a watchdog and criticizes journalistic content and production of communication vehicles.
