Description

The overall aim of the International Journal of Navigation and Observation is to explore emerging concepts and applications in navigation, positioning, Earth observation, and related fields. The journal is directed at both practicing engineers as well as academic researchers. It will highlight new ideas and challenges in both application development and basic research, thus seeking to bridge the gap between innovation and practical implementation.
Authors of manuscripts with novel contributions to the theory and/or the practice of navigation, positioning, and Earth observation are encouraged to submit their contributions for consideration. All articles undergo a rigorous peer-review process. Specifically, the journal employs a paperless, electronic review process that ensures a speedy processing of papers with short turnaround times.
International Journal of Navigation and Observation was founded in 2008 by Professor Fulvio Gini and Professor Marco Luise who served as the Editors-in-Chief of the journal between 2008 and 2011.
International Journal of Navigation and Observation currently has an acceptance rate of 17%. The average time between submission and final decision is 64 days and the average time between acceptance and final publication is 45 days.
