Description

JSiSE (Japanese Society for Information and Systems in Education) annually publishes The Journal of Information and Systems in Education since 2002. Editorial Committee welcomes submissions of articles for Volume 8 of the Journal.

Computers and network communications technology, so called IT, has infiltrated various aspects of our life style, including the style of teaching and learning activities. Elementary, higher, enterprise, and lifelong educational institutions are involving various IT equipments in synchronous and asynchronous learning. Many advanced companies have identified “e-learning” framework as their core competence in order to treat their independent knowledge and skills. In these situations of developing e-learning, learning technology research and contribution is getting increased attention for effective and successful e-learning. Regardless of the progress of the research in this area for over 50 years, it remains to be one of the most critical issues for learning activities.

The Journal of Information and Systems in Education aims to spread outstanding research and practice results in the field of learning technology to the professionals all over the world. Researchers and practitioners devoted in this field are encouraged to submit their advanced results, which are anticipated to contribute the progress of learning technology research and practice.

The topic of papers includes but is not limited to:

- Learning technology systems: infrastructure, framework, architectures, etc.

- Methodology and pedagogy of e-Learning: collective, instructional, collaborative, etc.

- Administration, maintenance, and evaluation of e-learning activity

- Learning technology related elemental technology: database, artificial intelligence, etc.

- Learning technology related sciences: cognitive science, educational psychology, etc.
