Description
Filozofska istraživanja (en. Philosophical investigations) is a scientific journal of Croatian Philosophical Society based in Zagreb, Republic of Croatia. It is the most important journal on philosophy in Republic of Croatia and one of the most relevant journals on philosophy in South-Eastern Europe. The journal is known for being open to new ideas, approaches and methodologies, that is, to diverse orientations, schools of thought and ways of thinking, including borderline fields (sociology, natural sciences, religious studies, interdisciplinary studies etc.), but also accepts marginalized or unfairly neglected themes. The journal regularly produces four issues a year since 1980 and publishes exclusively original scientific papers, preliminary communications and review papers from all philosophical disciplines and disciplines closely related to philosophy, including interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary studies with philosophically relevant content, but also critical reviews (recensions) of newly published (original or translated) monographies, collected works, collections of papers, encyclopedias, dictionaries and other types of work relevant for the field of interest. In the second and fourth issue of each volume, under the category “Filozofski život” [“Philosophical life”], Filozofska istraživanja also publishes reports from scientific and pop-scientific events of philosophical or broader socio-scientific relevance, such as discussion panels, conferences and festivals, and in the fourth issue of every volume it publishes released volume's bibliography.
