Description

The content of the journal “Biotechnologiya” (Biotechnology”) reflects the current level of the development of the Russian biotechnology in all the modern areas, such as:
- applied metabolomics, proteomics and fluxomics;
- selection, improving and gene-engineering of microbial and plant producers of various biologically active compounds;
- molecular biology studies of pathogens of extremely hazardous infections; design of vaccines (including recombinant, subunit and DNA vaccines);
- design of monoclonal antibodies with required characteristics and construction of diagnostic kits to identify corresponding pathogens on the basis of those antibodies;
- study of problems and development of techniques for industrial growing of plant and animal cell cultures;
- obtaining of biofuel on the basis of inedible plant mass;
- microbial protection of environment from oil, pesticide or other contaminants using microorganisms;
- creation of efficient catalysts on the basis of immobilized enzymes and intact cells;
- application of biopreparations to all fields of economy, and others.
