Description

Meridian Critic is a philological academic journal of scientific character in the field of humanities (foreign languages and literatures; Romanian language and literature). It was founded in 1992 under the name Analele Universităţii „Ştefan cel Mare”, Suceava. Seria Filologie. Since 2009, the journal's name has changed to Meridian critic. Analele Universităţii „Ştefan cel Mare” Suceava. Seria Filologie. B. Literatură.
The journal is published biannually, under “Ștefan cel Mare” University Press in Suceava, and in an online format.
With an interdisciplinary character, the publication is structured into four major sections: Critical Dossier, Exegeses, Language and Communication, as well as a Reviews section.
The journal is indexed in numerous international databases (Erih+, EBSCO, CEEOL, MLA, ICI World of Journals, etc.). At the national level, Meridian Critic is accredited in category B (Philology) by the Romanian National Council for Scientific Research (CNCS). The indexing process is dynamic and constantly updated on the journal's website.
Submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process. The editorial board also ensures compliance with copyright regulations. The originality of articles is verified using the Turnitin anti-plagiarism software, with a maximum acceptable similarity index of 9% set by the editorial board. If this threshold is exceeded, the manuscript will be rejected for publication.
No Article Processing Charges (APCs) are levied for access to the content of articles and reviews. The journal operates under a free open access publishing model.
